Sueve Protected Landscape

The Sueve mountain range is a small mountain massif that rises abruptly from coastal plains.

The highest point is the summit of Picu Pienzu (1159m), which is only 4km from the sea, offers unique views of the diversity of Asturias with nearby beaches and distant mountains.

The Sueve is known for its populations of Asturcones, the local breed of semi-wild horses as well as the yew forests on its northern slopes.
