Beech groves are the prevailing wooded areas in Redes, although
these groves contain a high number of white oak trees. Its
forests, fragmented by grasslands and shrubby areas are the
most interesting in the high basins of the Nalón River.
The beechnut is a part of the food eaten by the valuable fauna
of the park of Redes. Scattered throughout the territory,
there are ash trees, yews, birch trees and holly trees. In
the high mountain there are common juniper shrubs, with bearberries
on calcareous rocks and heather and bilberries in the Silicon
substrate.
